Indeed.com, a leading careers advertisement platform, published best jobs of 2020 report highlighted that the 5 in the top 10 jobs requires software engineering degree. These software engineering job profiles according are, Software Architect (#1), Fullstack software engineer (#2), Development Operations Engineer (#5), Java Developer (#7) and IT Security Specialist (#9).

The Bureau of Labor Statistics also shows that 23% of job holders in this field had at least a bachelor's degree (which is generally the entry level requirement) with 34% holding an advanced degree.
