The College of Engineering is focused on educating the next generation of engineers to prepare societal leaders with strong scientific and technical skills combined with an ethical and moral outlook to impact academia, business, government, and the non-profit sector. Through the discovery of new knowledge and its application, we tackle global challenges and create opportunities through innovation and entrepreneurship.

What is E-CAP?

The Engineering Corporate Affiliate Program (E-CAP) allows companies from wide-ranging industrial sectors to build collaborative and long-term strategic relationships with the University of Miami College of Engineering.

Being an E-Cap member helps companies

  • Participate in exclusive, year-round College of Engineering events
  • Enhance visibility of the company with the engineering faculty and students
  • Engage students in targeted recruitment opportunities for internships and jobs
  • Develop cross-industry networks with other E-CAP companies
  • Recommend and guide Capstone design projects
  • Meet with College of Engineering faculty and leadership for collaboration
  • Collaborate on industry-specific cutting edge research projects
  • Join existing centers of excellence such as the Miami Institute of Clean Energy (MInCE), Miami Engineering Autonomous Mobility Initiative (MEAMI), Center for Aerosol Science and Technology (CAST), Institute of Health Engineering and Medicine (IHEM), and more.
