EPIC is a university-wide competition inviting graduate and undergraduate students from all schools and colleges at the University of Miami to showcase their innovative ideas. Hosted by the College of Engineering, with the support of the Rothberg Catalyzer Fund, EPIC empowers student-led teams to transform groundbreaking concepts into impactful products and solutions.

    First Place: $20,000

    Second Place: $10,000

    Third Place: $5,000

    Shortlisted Finalist Teams

    • 10 finalist teams - Up to $4,000 per team for materials purchase towards developing a prototype (requirement)

    Total Prize Pool: $75,000

  • What’s New in 2026

    • Finalist teams will receive $4,000 in materials support to develop a tangible prototype.
    • The finals will place a stronger emphasis on a working prototype.
