Everyday Engineering Day with UMaker

Micro controller Robotics Display with UMaker

This event will involve a showcase of the different micro-controller based projects we have created at UMaker.  In these displays, we will also be going over how the technology works. These will include some interactive and non interactive displays, for example, our 3D printed Robotic hand capable of movement.

Location: Outside in the loading dock between the Johnson & Johnson 3D Printing Center of Excellence Lab and the Structural Materials Lab

Tuesday, Feb. 19

Engineering Student Council and Graduate Engineering Student Council present Paths to Graduate Study

An interactive panel will share experiences and answer questions about how, when and where to pursue graduate STEM education.  A representative from Toppel will also participate to discuss corporate career pathways for graduate students

Introduce a Girl to Engineering with American Society of Woman Engineers

SWE will be hosting about 200 high school girls from the local community for a day of engineering activities, lab tours in the College of Engineering, and a panel discussion with industry professionals from Turner Construction. The purpose of the event is to inspire more girls to pursue engineering and STEM careers!

Location: Shalala Student Center, University of Miami, 1330 Miller Dr, Miami, FL 33146 (3rd Floor)

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 2:20 p.m.

Marine Corp Flight Simulator presented by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers

Test out a Marine Corps F-35B flight simulator and connect with members of the United States Marine Corps, such as Captain Krygier! Also, meet members of the ASME EBoard throughout the event.

Location: In Front of the McArthur Engineering Building Main Entrance

Drive for Venezuela presented by Engineers Without Borders

Come donate nonperishable canned foods, baby formula, new or gently used clothing, diapers, soap and much more.
