BS in Industrial Engineering – Engineering Management Concentration

Objective

The Department of Industrial Engineering offers program leading to BS degree in Industrial Engineering (BSIE) with an Engineering Management Concentration. The program integrates business and management knowledge into an engineering curriculum to prepare engineers for leadership roles in technology-based organizations. The BSIE – Engineering Management Concentration program is accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Within the first several years following graduation from the Industrial Engineering program, graduates are expected to be:

  1. To have graduates working as professionals by adding value in any one of the following sectors: Service, Government, Retail, Consulting, or Manufacturing.
  2. To have graduates pursuing or holding a graduate degree and/or developing professionally through continuing education, licensure, certification and seminars in a new area of their chosen areas of expertise.

Curriculum

Students enrolled in BSIE – Engineering Management Concentration program are required to complete 128 course credits.
