Dr. Ashutosh Agarwal and his research group
Dr. Ashutosh Agarwal (Assistant Professor, BME) has been selected as one of four UM representatives to attend the Eureka Institute for Translational Medicine’s 8th Annual International Certificate Program in Siracusa, Italy April 3-9, 2016. Dr. Özdamar, Professor and Chair of BME, pointed out that the sponsoring unit, the UM Clinical and Translational Science Institute, selected the nominees from an impressive pool of internal applicants and their choosing Dr. Agarwal is indeed noteworthy.
Another division of the Miller School of Medicine, the Office of Technology Transfer (OTT), also has featured Dr. Agarwal and his research in their U Innovation publication; the January edition’s Featured Researcher was Dr. Agarwal, with the emphasis on his Organs on a Chip project. He is applying for funding opportunities through the Coulter program within the OTT and notes that “the level of activity with in OTT resembles that which one would find at a top tier university”.
