Graduate Students Showcase Innovative Research at Composites and Advanced Materials Expo

On December 12-14, 2017, a group of graduate students and post-doctoral fellows from the Structures and Material Laboratory (SML) under the direction of Antonio Nanni, professor and chair of the Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering showcased their innovative research at the 2017 Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX). This year’s conference took place in Orlando, Florida.

The SML team presented details on how their advances in composites are changing the world. Some of the areas discussed included:

CAMX was created by the American Composites Manufacturers Association and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering to connect and advance all aspects of the world’s composites and advanced materials communities, including transportation, aerospace, marine, wind energy, software, construction and infrastructure, medical, academics, sports and leisure.
