Biography

Dr. Shaikh has a Dual Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research and works in the area of quantitative marketing and social network analytics. His research has been supported by various U.S Federal Agencies and Industrial. He was the Finalist for the Edelman Award for Excellence in Applied Operations Research (INFORMS) and the recipient of the Alexander Orr, Jr., Excellence in Teaching Award from the UM College of Engineering. Dr. Shaikh is a supporter of the open source projects in analytics and has developed two R packages (fastNet and LnFilteR) for the statistical analysis of large network and streaming data.
