Message From the Dean

This month the College of Engineering launched our first Senior Design Expo. More than 500 people attended the expo, during which 58 teams of students presented their senior projects, competing for prizes and cash. This event was a great success and will become a new tradition, allowing our students to share their innovative ideas with the University of Miami community.

A hearty congratulations to all of the seniors who participated in the Senior Design Expo, and to the 206 CoE seniors who accepted their diplomas at Spring Commencement on May 12. All of us at the College also are proud to congratulate the engineering master's degree candidates and the more than 30 PhD candidates who walked in the University's Graduate Degree Commencement Ceremony on May 11. We can't wait to see the ways all of you change the world!

Whatever your summer plans entail, may they be filled with new discoveries and delight.
