Aerospace Engineering

Objective

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering offers accredited programs leading to BS degrees in Aerospace Engineering (BSASE). The program provides a strong background in the fundamentals of mathematics, science and engineering. Students are exposed to theory and practice, as well as hands-on laboratory work. The BSAE program is accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).

The objectives of the BSASE program is to prepare graduates who, within the first four to six years after graduation are, either:

  • Working as a professional or as an entrepreneur in an area closely related to aerospace engineering, or
  • Exhibit lifelong learning by pursuing or having completed a graduate or professional degree and/or demonstrated professional development
