Civil Engineering

Objective

The Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering offers an accredited program leading to the BS degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE). The program provides a strong background in the fundamentals of mathematics, science, engineering, humanities, social sciences and civil engineering. Students are exposed to theory and practice, as well as hands-on laboratory work. The BSCE program is accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).

The objectives of the BSCE program is to prepare graduates who, within the first four to six years after graduation are, either:

  • Working as a professional or as an entrepreneur in an area closely related to civil engineering, or
  • Exhibit lifelong learning by pursuing or having completed a graduate or professional degree and/or demonstrated professional development
