Pete Piechoski was the senior vice president and CFO for Peter Kiewit Sons’, Inc., a $12 billion construction company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. He has worked in various capacities at Kiewit since 1983. Prior to working for Peter Kiewit Sons’, Inc., Piechoski worked as an international cost manager for Abbott Laboratories (1980-1983); and as a staff auditor for Arthur Anderson (1976-1978).

Piechoski is a certified professional accountant. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Miami in 1976 and a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University in 1979.

Piechoski has served on various boards, including that of the United States Olympic Bobsled & Skeleton Federation, US Bank Advisory Board of Omaha, Nebraska; the Omaha Community Foundation; United Way of the Midlands; the Omaha Children’s Museum; the College World  Series of Omaha, Nebraska; and Marian Catholic High School.

Piechoski’s son, Bradley, is a graduate of the CoE’s Department of Civil Engineering and is pursuing his MBA at UM. Piechoski’s daughter, Alexandra, is a graduate of Villanova University.

Piechoski is a member of the George E. Merrick Society, which honors those whose commitments to the University have reached $1 million and above. He has established the Piechoski Family Endowed Graduate Engineering Fellowship Fund to provide additional support to a deserving engineering PhD student each year.
